Ari Finkelstein
Ari Finkelstein is a graduate of Stanford University with a major in English, and is now pursuing a degree in screenwriting from USC’s film school in Los Angeles. A true citizen of the world, Ari travelled extensively before, during, and after his schooling. After graduating from Stanford, Ari spent a year in Argentina where he developed a fondness for alfajores and wrote about film and theatre for the Buenos Aires Herald. He then spent an inspiring but penniless time in New York City interning for theatre companies and editing online publications. Despite working on The Matter, Ari’s first love is and always will be poetry.
In his own words: “In terms of literature and the arts, my favorite movement is Modernism, but I also eat up anything Absurdist, especially with a French flavor. I like style, and I get impatient with the almost photographic naturalism of American letters, as well as the “identity fiction” that seems to be everywhere you look. I don’t think that’s a term, but you get what I mean.”
